Beim diesj\u00e4hrigen Festival ist sie mit einer Interpretation ihres choreografischen Gedichts \u201eReport on Giving Birth\u201c von 1999 vertreten, in dem sie die Komplexit\u00e4t von Weiblichkeit und Mutterschaft thematisiert. In China nimmt der Staat weiterhin Einfluss auf das&#13;\nRecht der Frauen auf freie Entscheidung, und in mehreren US-Bundesstaaten&#13;\nwurde das Recht auf Abtreibung abgeschafft. Grund genug fu\u0308r Hui, ihrer Betrachtung in \u201eNew Report on Giving Birth\u201c eine aktuelle und universelle Aufladung zu geben.
